What is your experience as a logistics copywriter?
I’ve been in logistics since 2010, when I began working with a haulage and freight forwarding company at the Port of Felixstowe.
There, I trained in transport operations, arranging EXW and FOB freight, and customs clearance. I also completed a level 3 qualification in Commercial Overseas And Shipping Trade (COAST), which gave me insight into commercial, insurance, and Bill of Lading laws and practices.
In 2013, I moved to another company and added stock management to my role as a freight forwarder and customs clearance clerk. Before leaving the company in 2020, I also worked with warehouse management systems, warehouse throughput planning, and KPI reporting.
Following my reskill to copywriter and digital marketer in 2020, it made sense to utilise my knowledge for forwarders like you.
I’ve provided logistics marketing for 1 man bands and small companies, all the way through medium companies to multi-national giants.
Through that, I’ve grown my knowledge of ships agency and port-side operations, corporate marketing and branding, and refreshed my knowledge of customs clearances post-Brexit and pre-CDS.

I work with you to make the most of your budget, your time, and your capabilities. Logistics is a service-based industry so it is essential to me that we work to underpromise and overdeliver, not the other way around. Hard marketing and sales when your operation is already stretched might not be the best option, but awareness campaigns will still keep you looking strong to competitors, customers, and lurkers, whilst growing your audience and authority.
What is your process?
After you have made your enquiry, I'll assess your current social media and website practices before we meet for your free consultation. I'll ask about your goals, and give my feedback on where you can make small adjustments. Once we have determined your long-term goals, I will propose a revision project to sharpen up your website and socials (if needed), as well as an ongoing content retainer for your needs. Depending on our agreement, I may need access to your website and socials before we can begin. Because I know the industry and stay abreast of current affairs, I can work with as much or as little direction as you would like to give.
Do you provide the same logistics marketing for everyone?
No. It would be VERY suspect if everyone had the same blog and social posts every week (not to mention it would harm their SEO and expose my book of business!). My work is individual to your needs
Is my information safe from competitors?
In my position, I am trusted with keeping sensitive information confidential. I do offer to sign an NDA, for peace of mind, but my ethics and reputation as a logistics copywriter are worth more than that. None of my clients have asked for this so far as I am a trusted member of my clients' team.
